Government Polytechnic College Kupwara has been established in the year 2012 under Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Setting up of new Polytechnics” by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. The Polytechnic Campus is coming up at karihama on a beautiful campus of around 8 acres of land. Presently the Institution is being run in a rented accommodation at Kupwara.
