The noble minded philanthropists of Kammavar community living in and around Sattur and kovilpatti formed a society with the aim of uplifting the living standard of the people engaged in agriculture by providing a good education to the youth. In order to achieve the goal, to begin with, they started a collage in the name of Sri S.Ramasamy Naidu Memorial Polytechnic College in Venkatachalapuram,Sattur.
