ABOUT HEALTH SCIENCE AND WATER ENGINEERING

Health Science and Water Engineering is a speciality course designed to provide advanced knowledge of the water sector and environmental challenges. Our work focuses on the connections between civil infrastructure, human health, and the environment. Students will learn about fluid mechanics and hydrology, water and wastewater treatment, water infrastructure, and water processing and distribution systems, among other topics. There are generic lessons on finance and sustainable project management and risk and health and safety issues.

The course will provide you with a thorough understanding of how to provide adequate contemporary water supply, sanitation, and other public health interventions in low-income rural and urban communities. It is intended for consultants and working professionals in national and local government, non-governmental organizations, international development organizations, and public health organizations.

WHAT IS HEALTH SCIENCE AND WATER ENGINEERING?

The health science and water engineering profession are responsible for designing, developing, and managing water resources. Civil engineers play a crucial part in a multi-disciplinary team, from assessing the amount of water available to constructing the physical and non-physical infrastructure required to meet society's and the environment's water needs. Civil engineers design, develop and manage the water intakes, water treatment plants, and the network of pipelines that transport water to your tap to provide access to clean, safe drinking water. Water engineers and health scientists are both concerned with the issues surrounding the usage and control of water.

Subjects of study are Water Resources Engineering, Sustainable Development Approach, Surface Irrigation systems, Planning and Design of Water Resources Systems, Irrigation Management for Water Quality, and Groundwater technology. The students will seek to prevent floods, provide water for cities, industry, and agriculture, treat wastewater, protect beaches, manage and utilize stormwater, and implement the water-sensitive urban design (WSUD).

Stormwater harvesting and reuse systems, wastewater treatment systems, desalination systems, dams, pipelines, pumping stations, locks, and seaport facilities may all be involved in designing, building, or maintaining these systems. They research the physical mechanisms of water flow, which are crucial for environmental understanding, protection, and improvement.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN HEALTH SCIENCE AND WATER ENGINEERING

Aspiring students should have completed Plus-two or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 60% or above. For admittance in health Science and water engineering course, several of the most prestigious universities and institutes hold an entrance examination. Flood management, water distribution, wastewater collection, irrigation drainage, river navigation, facilitation, and hydroelectric power development are areas where such graduates produce solutions.

The course prepares students to provide the industry with consulting services in water resources and hydraulic engineering, including design, development, testing, and monitoring. The control and exploitation of water by society is the domain of health science and water engineering. Some of the health science and water Engineering Employment Areas are Colleges & Universities, Public Health Engineering Departments, Hydrology/Hydraulics, Public Works Department (PWD), and Agriculture SectorHealth science and Water Engineering job roles are Computer Analyst, Environmental Representative, Environmental Protection Specialist, Hydrologist, Territory Sales Representative, Environmental Field Technician and Sustainability and Energy Analyst. This course has a great scope in India as well as abroad too.
