ABOUT ENERGY TECHNOLOGY

Energy – heat and electricity – is always required. Graduate energy technology engineers ensure that power and heat production is safe, cost-effective, and sustainable, and related technologies are developed. The development of future energy solutions revolves around three scenarios:

 - Renewable energy sources (hydroelectric, solar, wind, wave, or bioenergy)
 - Safe nuclear energy
 - The capture and utilization of carbon

These are the core of energy technology. You will build a career in pioneering technologies by studying energy technology. Energy technology is suitable for interested people who want to use natural science and mathematics as instruments. The program aims to produce and distribute an essential feature of our daily well-being most efficiently, environmentally friendly: energy and related technologies.

WHAT IS ENERGY TECHNOLOGY?

The main topics of the studies in the energy technology course are efficient production and use of energy and the environment. Student training is based on three key energy technology expertise areas: energy-technology physical phenomena, including energy-forming and magnitude-influencing policies; energy conversion from one form to another; and energy-conversion machinery and equipment. Students will be introduced to renewable and non-renewable energies, thermodynamics, mechanical fluid, electricity. They can apply the principle of energy conversion devices, assess their operation and performance, and identify the active direction of various energy resources.

The course gives an understanding of the processes used by multiple approaches to converting biomass to fuels. Develops potential for evaluating the feasibility and sustainability of biomass power generation in technical and economic terms. Upon graduation, students will understand essential energy conservation and management principles, identify energy loss sources and target savings, and conduct cost analysis and budgeting on the lifecycle. Students will also learn how to plan and design energy-efficient structures. They will be able to perform an energy audit as well as develop and implement energy conservation plans.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY

This course is open to those who have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory courses or their equivalent from a recognized board. They must receive at least 60% of the total marks. To be considered for a postgraduate program, they must hold a bachelor's degree or achieve the required score in the entrance tests. It prepares students to be lifelong learners, problem solvers, and industry leaders in the energy sector. The course will prepare you for a career in energy research, energy engineering, or energy business management in the public or private sector, as well as for pursuing an advanced degree. It's also useful for advanced education, such as M.Tech., and then research.

The curriculum educates students to be influential leaders in the advancement of energy technology and management and educators, practising engineers, and national leaders in the energy and related environmental health and safety, policy, and economic domains. They can also pursue a teaching career at both private and public colleges and universities.B.Tech. Energy Technology Employment Areas are Educational Institutes, Power Stations, Electricity Boards, Power Plants, Energy Ministry. Energy Technology Job Types are Field Engineer, Energy Utility Industry Officer, Energy Auditor, Renewable Energy System Integrators, Manufacture Engineers (Components, Subsystems), Design Engineers (Components, Subsystems), Local and State Government Renewable-Energy Officers (Inspectors, Planners), Renewable Energy Engineer, Energy Auditor – Chemical Engineer, Planning and Scheduling Engineer, Professor Assistant Professor, Tool Design Engineer, and Executive Assistant.
