About Artificer Training (Mech)

Artificers are armed service members who are trained and skilled in working with electronic, electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical devices. The term "artificer" is used in the armed forces of countries that have been members of the British Commonwealth to refer to a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in this position. The title of Artificer is a work term, not a rank. Years of employment are required to achieve the necessary experience and rank to hold the position and title of Artificer. You will receive the highest possible training in Artificer Training (Mech), the highest technical training available to a sailor in the Indian Navy. The Artificer Training graduate key tasks include the management of men and the technology of operating and maintaining some of the most complicated systems and sophisticated equipment.

What is Artificer Training (Mech)?

The name "artificer" is used in the armed forces of many countries to describe this duty. Even though the term "artificer" means "skilled mechanic," the work of an Artificer in the Indian Navy varies greatly depending on the level and branch in which he serves, as well as the person sitting on top of him. Despite this, the Artificers are expected to be in charge of maintaining the Navy's equipment, which includes high-tech Radars, Sonars, Gun Mountings, Torpedoes, Navigational Systems, Propulsion Systems, and Engines. However, it is highly dependent on one's station and the superior under whom one is serving. A fresh Artificer Apprentice may spend their first 1-2 years onboard a ship doing menial work and other military' tasks. Training is the main focus in the Artificer Training (Mech) course.
