Electrical and instrumentation engineering (EIE) is a branch of electrical engineering that deals with the measurement of process variables in industrial facilities and the management of automated control equipment. Instrumentation engineers control process variables (temperature, pressure, and volume) within an industrial plant or facility using various measurement components or equipment. Electrical engineering is the branch of engineering that studies and applies electricity, electromagnetic, and electronics. Instrumentation engineering is a branch of engineering that focuses on the theory and operation of measuring instruments used in the design and setup of automated systems in the electrical and pneumatic domains, among other things. These people are usually employed in businesses that have automated processes, such as chemical or manufacturing factories. They strive to improve system productivity, safety, dependability, optimization, and stability, among other things. It is concerned with the design of devices used to measure physical quantities such as temperature, pressure, and flow. Such instrumentation necessitates a thorough understanding of physics, which frequently extends beyond electromagnetic theories. ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTAL ENGINEERING

For Undergraduate Electrical and Instrumental Engineering, candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized state or central board with a minimum of 65 percent (relaxable for the reserved category) of the marks. Candidates must also have majored in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in class 12 or an equivalent test. Candidates can also apply for admission by taking a variety of entrance tests. PG is completed after completing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Students should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized college or university, such as a B.E./B.Tech. in Engineering fields such as Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Control Engineering. In addition, the candidate must meet the minimal requirements for admission. Instrumentation engineering has a wide range of applications. They have an advantage over ordinary IT engineers. Electricity boards and power plants, hydroelectricity sectors, Biomedical Electronics, petroleum, aeroplane and automobile industries, steel and chemical facilities, and other commercial and public sector companies are among the placement opportunities. Reliance Power, GE, Birla Group, and ITC India Ltd are among the major firms. The following are some of the profiles and areas where Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering can work. Electrical Product Design Engineers, Development and Test Engineers, Engineering Technologists, and Consultants are all electrical product design engineers.
