About Information & Communication Technology

The Engineering Branch of Information and Communication Technology was established to provide a broader view on the nature of technology, its use, and its application to the living world. Experimentation and learning are not the only aspects of engineering. It's all about the societal ramifications. Information and Communication Technology has been the branch of engineering that humans have become the most advanced creature on the planet throughout their existence. Furthermore, developing countries use information and communication to enhance their lives and acquire a competitive advantage. ICT refers to the combination of audiovisual and telephone networks with computer networks via a single cabling or connection system. Combining telephone and computer networks into single unified cabling, signal delivery, and management system has substantial economic benefits. ICT is a broad phrase that encompasses all forms of communication, including radio, television, cell phones, computer and network hardware, satellite systems, and so on, as well as the various services and appliances that go along with them, such as video conferencing and distant learning. ICT is a broad topic with constantly changing notions. It applies to any product that stores, retrieves, manipulates, transmits, or receives data in a digital format (e.g., personal computers including smartphones, digital television, email, or robots).

What is Information & Communication Technology?

The Engineering in Information and Communication Technology is an IT curriculum that focuses on communication and computer technology. This engineering course will teach image processing, data communication, networking, data mining, testing, and software design. It includes radio, television, cellular phones, computer network hardware and software, satellite systems, and other communication and information devices and applications. This is an undergraduate course in Information and Communication Technology that lasts four years and is divided into eight semesters. ICT engineers apply their knowledge to plan, build, implement, and deploy IT infrastructures to release information systems that address social needs. They also promote excellent education and research. ICT engineers can work in various areas, including business, education, commerce, healthcare, and governance, in addition to IT and communication.

Eligibility and Career in Information & Communication Technology

Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Science Stream) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Indian board. In class 12 with the Science stream, students must have a minimum of 50% aggregate or higher. Relaxation of up to 5% is granted to reserved categories such as SC/ST. Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and an additional topic of the student's choice must all be passed on the qualifying examination. All of the credentials above are required to meet the Bachelor’s in Information and Communication Technology qualifying criteria. Every institute has its own set of requirements for a Bachelor’s in Information and Communication Technology. ICT engineers are experts in computer systems, hardware, and networks, and they can troubleshoot and solve any problems that arise. This is one of the most relevant and vital industries in the world today. India is one of the top countries spearheading the technological revolution and is more certified. Highly skilled ICT engineers would be required. ICT engineers are well compensated in private industry, and some graduates even create their businesses. The typical beginning wage in this field is higher than in other engineering fields. This points to a bright future for ICT graduates.
