The course's goal is to provide a comprehensive review of electrical drive systems and their control. Electrical Machines and Power Electronics are believed to be familiar to the pupils. The goal is to introduce students to the electric drives and control laboratory and to conduct experiments using experimental setups on which students perform investigations related to topics covered in electric drives and control theory courses, such as DC motor speed control, AC motor speed control, load tests on DC and AC motors, and experiments to understand elements of electronics for visualising concepts in electronics.
