Civil (Public Health and Environment) Engineering is a full-time Diploma course. The whole course is of 3 years, which the Directorate of technical education offers. And this course is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). So a student can choose this course without any confusion. The course Civil (Public Health and Environment) Engineering plays a crucial role in today's world. This course preps the students for understanding and solving public health and environmental issues. To keeping the problems of public and ecological under control, public health and environmental engineers are needed.

WHAT IS CIVIL (PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT) ENGINEERING

Civil (Public Health and Environment) Engineering is a growing course. However, it's not that famous today in the coming years the scopes for this course is the highest. The governments are investing a lot of money today for water purification and providing quality water to everyone. Public health and environmental engineers will have to do this. The only difference is that they won't be investing but instead helping the government in the process. Students can take this course if they are interested in solving problems faced by humanity and the environment.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN CIVIL (PUBLIC HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT) ENGINEERING

The students eligible for this course are those students who have:

  • The students should have passed the 10th standard in a 10 + 2 education system.
  • Or, as an alternative, should have passed any equivalent examination to that of the exam conducted by CBSE.
  • Maths, Science and English are the subjects in which the student should compulsorily pass.
  • And the student must have a minimum pass in the 10th class board examination mark without adding the grace marks.

For eligibility, the student should have passed in all the subjects, especially in maths, science and English. In this pandemic situation, it is dais that the student should pass by the criteria said by the CBSE or the government.  There are five semesters, and in each semester, an examination will be conducted by the respective institutions. Due to sudden change of the environment and increase in sewage waste being dumped in to the water the bodies the need for Public health and an environmental engineer are also increasing. Specific skills are needed by students who are opting for Civil engineering in Public health and the environment. 

  • Skills related to engineering science are required
  • Public health skills are another necessary skill
  • Skill to learn as well as teaching is needed

The course of Public health and environmental engineering in this country is given through the regular engineering colleges. Students can do a diploma, degree, a postgraduate degree in this same course. In India, the course Civil (Public Health and Environment) Engineering training and teaching are provided pre-service and in-service training. This course's training and education are considered a limited part of the public health and environmental problems programmes. The public health and environment issue programme management play a vital role in the teaching and training of this course.
