ABOUT ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING

The integration of electrical engineering with computer science to construct computer systems is known as electronics and computer engineering. Electrical engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with studying and applying electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It is a discipline of electronics that deals with the impacts of electrons in the construction of components, devices, systems, and equipment. In terms of addressing problems and building products and systems, both the electronics and computer branches are intimately linked and precisely intertwined to enhance our world experience and form the convenience of our future.

Advances in electronics and computer engineering have changed the way we live, work and play. It has connected and brought the world closer. Some of the most innovative inventions are drones, nanotube transistors, electric cars, 3D printing, etc. Advances in this field have led to the advancement of society.

WHAT IS ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING?

The Electronics and Computer Engineering curriculum will prepare the students for a future in the Information Technology and Computing Industries by understanding electronics and its applications, computer systems, and the most up-to-date software. This degree aims to bridge the gap between hardware electronics, software, and computer systems. Students will obtain hands-on practical experience in designing and constructing electronics systems using computer simulation and laboratory understanding. They will acquire a good grounding in both areas and the opportunity to explore the exciting interface between the two by merging the two disciplines of Electronics and Computers. This curriculum aims to produce engineers who can use the most efficient combination of hardware and software to solve real-world problems that need compute, communication, or control. Students will learn how to design ideal machines by combining their understanding of computing and electronics. Major courses that will be covered in the course revolve around electronics and computers. The courses that students study in this branch of engineering include computer applications and systems and the designing and development of computer software and hardware procedures. Some of the other courses include Applied Mathematics, Digital Circuits, and System, Applied Physics, Communication Systems, Applied Chemistry, Computer Graphics, Manufacturing Process, etc. Students will be able to understand, learn, and use several programming languages and digital and analogue electronics, networking, and telecommunications, among other things, through this course.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING

To pursue Electronics and Computer Engineering engineering, candidates must pass 10+2 examinations in PCM subjects with minimum aggregate marks of 50%. To follow the 2-year M-Tech in this field, a B-Tech/B.E degree in IT/CSE/ Electrical and Communication is mandatory from a recognized institution with minimum aggregate marks of 60%.

There are many job opportunities in this field as a software engineer, software developer, programmer analyst, test engineer, lecturer, etc. Some of the top companies that hire such engineers are Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Hp, etc.
