Candidates who have completed their 12th standard or equivalent in the science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are eligible for the BTech in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Course various Indian universities and colleges offer. The average cost ranges from INR 1 to 8 LPA in different colleges around the country. The study of metals and minerals, their processing, and their alteration over time is the subject of metallurgical and materials engineering. Candidates must complete Class X or its equivalent examination with 35 percent in each of the courses in Science and Mathematics to be eligible for admission to the Diploma in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program.
