In the modern world, most firms and agencies depend on information technology for most of their operations. This naturally puts a lot of information at risk due to the presence of data stealers and hackers. As a result, secure and anonymous communication systems are a need of the hour. This is the whole motive behind this course which aims to prepare individuals to deal with cyber security, data structures, cryptography etc.  Without being said, this course is in huge demand at present. WHAT IS COMPUTER NETWORKS AND INTERNET SECURITY?

As said, previously Computer Networks and Internet Security aims primarily to provide students with avid knowledge of internet security and makes them capable of protecting a firm’s data online. It aims to allow students to identify cyber threats and implement solutions to these issues in banking, governance, energy, etc. It also includes cryptography cloud security, information security risk management etc., preparing them to be eligible in a no of enterprises, private or public. It is a highly recommended course to improve a student's prospects.

Computer Networks and Internet Security equips the students with core knowledge about programming, physics, mathematical reasoning. After this, students are taught about the introductory stages of networking, web services, web security principles, etc. Students also learn to conduct activities like digital forensics, which are essential information in court.  Students also earn the first-hand experience of working in the atmosphere of different firms for cyber protection. Ultimately the goal of this course is to develop a student’s mindset to use emerging technologies to improve the world.

Students can expect the curriculum to be structured as follows: For the start of the course, students will be taught about the basics of computer science and programming. During this stage, the primary subjects will be engineering, physics and chemistry. After this, students will be taught the basics of electrical engineering, cryptography and C++. The following semesters will focus primarily on data communication, networking and the introduction of Cyber security. The final semesters will be focused on computer graphics and web technologies. It is expected that these will result in the student's healthy development so that he is capable of taking on the challenges of the future corporate world.

ELIGIBILITY AND CAREER IN COMPUTER NETWORKS AND INTERNET SECURITY

BTech in this course is of a four-year duration with eight semesters. To be eligible in this course, a student must complete their 10+2 level with a minimum 50% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects.

The top recruiters for this course are Amazon, Nokia, Infosys, Apple, Boeing etc. One can also find work in a public sector job through the govt taking part in an entrance exam by the government.
