About Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Automation)

With the advent of the new age of technology, we are now amidst a revolution. With the rise of virtual systems and modern devices, we seek to make our lives easier, more portable and more convenient. Just like the name represents, automation and robotics are a branch of engineering that revolves around the things related to creating machines and robots that are programmed to operate automatically.

What is Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Automation)?

The Automation and Robotics Engineering Line is mainly based on the principles of artificial intelligence and covers the process involved, from designing prototypes to building ingenious final results. Candidates interested in the idea of robotics are best suited for this course.  In India, automation and robotics is an emerging branch of engineering with many future growth opportunities. Industries like education, aviation, nuclear science, etc., can greatly benefit from developments in the Automation and Robotics course. Robotics is interdisciplinary engineering with many opportunities to be employed in some of the best organizations in India and abroad.

Robotic engineering is an engineering field concerned with the design, construction, and applications of robots and computers and their handling and processing. Mechanical science has a vast scope as a career option. It is the fundamental base of our future existence and is important in every sector. They help speed up the manufacturing process and find huge applications in nuclear science, marine exploration, biomedical device design, and more.

Robotics Engineers use all their knowledge to integrate robots and their modern technology for application in different industries, including production and quality control. They have a complete understanding of robot design and the ability to assemble and disassemble robots and conduct robot research. They program robots and enable them to perform various tasks. They have the idea of inspecting parts involved in manufacturing robots and identifying any problems with robots. Furthermore, they help train junior technicians.

Eligibility and Criteria in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Automation)

The basic admission requirements for all courses of automation and robotics in engineering universities are almost the same in all universities.

UG courses: Must be completed in grade 12 in recognized educational boards, such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics. As part of a non-medical degree with a total score of not less than 4050%. The R&A program has 4,444 undergraduate degrees, ranging from B.sc to BE. And B.Tech. Therefore, subjects fluctuate between physics and mathematics. Some universities have entrance exams, and each potential candidate must reach a prescribed minimum admission time before the admission process begins.

Admission criteria for PG automation and robotics course: For admission to courses such as M.Tech and ME, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a major required by an accredited institution. At least 60% of the total score of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, electrical engineering, etc. For prospective candidates, entrance examinations are held at the state and state levels every year. Some of these items (such as GATE) have common admission criteria for all universities.
