About Polymer Nanotechnology

Polymer Nanotechnology is a two-year Polymer Engineering postgraduate programme. The construction of molecular-scale functional systems is what nanotechnology is all about. This programme focuses on the technologies involved in the shrinking of electrical and optical equipment. The focus is on modern microtechnologies, such as microelectronic circuit design and production, microsystems, and optoelectronics. Basic materials and circuit theory, processing, functional devices, and characterisation are all covered in this programme.

The course also covers the design and fabrication of available materials, structures, devices, and systems by influencing matter directly at the nanoscale and applying unique phenomena and features at this scale. The course is designed for those who want to improve their understanding of the fundamental scientific ideas that drive nanoscience and the properties of materials and biomaterials at the atomic/molecular level and the scaling laws that regulate these qualities.

The candidate could work in nanomedicine, bioinformatics, stem cell research, pharmaceutical businesses, nanotoxicology, and human resources generation. Also, this course enhances students skill in the subject of polymer nanotechnology. Hence they can also pursue higher education and work in the field of research.

What is Polymer Nanotechnology?

Polymer nanotechnology is a master's degree programme in Nanotechnology. It benefits those interested in nanotechnology, advanced materials, semiconductors, and microelectronics, advanced medical diagnostics, mineral processing, and chemical, polymer, or surface coatings industries. The study of controlling issues on a nuclear and subatomic scale is known as nanotechnology. Nanotechnology encompasses a wide range of activities, ranging from extensions of traditional device physical science to entirely new methodologies based on sub-atomic self-gathering, from developing new materials using nanoscale measurements to investigating whether we can directly control matter on the nuclear scale. Surface science, natural science, atomic science, semiconductor material science, and tiny scale creation are some branches of science used in nanotechnology. The course will teach you new approaches for assembling atoms and molecules into new materials and characterising them using several techniques. The candidate will recognise and generate fresh and inventive ideas using various laboratory approaches and grasp current nanotechnology frontier advancements.

Eligibility and Career in Polymer Nanotechnology

Students must hold a B.E./B.Tech. or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% to pursue a master's degree in polymer nanotechnology. Several of the world's most famous universities and institutes conduct entrance exams for admission. With the application of nanotechnology, every field will see a significant transformation. Nanotechnology is a rapidly growing field that involves nearly every technical subject, from chemistry to computer science, in the study and application of ultra-small materials. As a result, such graduates are in high demand.

Colleges and renowned universities, the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), petrochemicals and engineering plants are all working in polymer nanotechnology. Project Application Manager, Lecturer and Professor, Research Specialist, Sales Executive, Product Specialist, and Nano Bioprocess and Senior Technical Leader are examples of Polymer Nanotechnology job types. Students who are interested in pursuing a PhD can enrol in the Advanced Course in M.Tech. Polymer Nanotechnology (Polymer Science & Technology).
